Son dövrdə iri müəssisələrin və işçi sayının artması əllə hesablamaları çətinləşdirdi artıq avtomatlaşma zərurəti yaratdı. Müasir müəssisələrdə işlər avtomatlaşdırılmış şəkildə həyata keçirilir. İşlərin keçirilməsi üçün müxtəlif proqram vasitələrindən, o cümlədən, tətbiqi paketlərindən istifadə olunur. Vaxt itkisinin qarşısının alınması həmçinin hesablamaların daha yüksək dəqiqliklə icra olunması məqsədilə Tətbiqi paketləri Bu vasitələri proqramçılar şirkətlər tərəfindən hazırlanır. öz əhatə sahəsinə görə çox genişdir.
